In 2019, shortly after retiring from his 33-year full-time selling career, Greg Zippi, our founder, proposed a custom course on Professional Selling to a university near his home. He wanted to give back following the rewarding and fulfilling career he had just completed. The university took him up on his offer.
The results have been more positive than anything he could have ever imagined.
Because of that, he has now modified the curriculum to make it available to people at various stages of their careers in multiple formats suited to how the business world works today. Hence the genesis of The Professional Selling Academy. All of the services and courses provided by The Professional Selling Academy are based on statistically validated third-party research.
Greg Zippi, Our Founder
Greg Zippi was in professional sales full-time from 1986 to 2019 as an individual contributor, sales manager, and sales executive, including at Oracle Corporation and Adobe Systems. During his full-time career, he was personally involved in closing over one-half $Billion in sales.
Greg graduated Magna cum laude from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in History and a Minor in English. He later returned to BYU to earn an MBA with Honors, having pursued an emphasis in Finance and Marketing. He and his wife of over 40 years, Patricia Richardson Zippi, J.D., are the parents of five children and grandparents to ten grandchildren. After a career that included long stays in the San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago, they have now resided in the foothills of Utah's Wasatch Mountains for over twenty years.
